Melissa Schweitz, PT, DPT

“Hi, I’m Melissa! I am so glad you’re here. My passion is to create care where you feel heard and empowered. You may feel alone and the only one with problems like these, but I assure you, you are not. Too often leaking, pain, and discomfort and written off and ignored by other health care professionals. These issues are common but NOT normal. You deserve to be heard and receive excellent care to rid of these issues.

I welcomed my baby boy in July 2022 and became part of the mom club. I can tell you first-hand how education, knowledge, and pelvic floor PT changes a pregnancy. I was experiencing low back and SI joint pain that was greatly reduced with PT. The work I did to prep for birth allowed me deliver without vaginal tearing or use of pain medication. My recovery went so smoothly, and I can confidently say it was due to my exercise and knowledge during pregnancy”

I grew up in beautiful Evergreen Colorado. I received my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Colorado State University. After graduation, I ventured to Florida to obtain my Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Saint Augustine which specializes in manual therapy and orthopedics. Within the first week of my graduate program, I knew treating pelvic floor was my passion and never looked back. I began taking extra courses specializing in pelvic health while still in school and continued when graduating in 2019. Since then, I have completed courses through Herman and Wallace and am certified in functional dry needling.
